Where Every Stay
Honors a Hero
Escape to cozy Texas cabins nestled among ponds, bluebonnets, and longhorns. Fish, explore, and make memories, knowing every dollar supports Gold Star families and charities for America's fallen heroes.
The ranch is closed while we renovate. Get on the list and your first stay is 25% off.
The Ranch Is Getting Some Work Done
Three of our four cabins are closed for a full renovation, and the property around them is in the middle of a heavy rebuild. New work inside the cabins. Cleaned-up grounds, better paths, better landscaping, and a longer list of things we can actually do for you once you're here.
Nothing is bookable at the moment. The Longhorn, the Angler, and the Pecan are being renovated. The Bluebonnet isn't, but the ground around it is a construction site, and we're not putting a family in the middle of that. It'll be the first cabin back.
Figure on at least 60 days before anyone stays here again, and the renovation work runs at least 45 days on its own. We're not going to hand you a reopening date we can't keep, so we aren't promising dates yet. The moment the calendar is real, the people on our list hear it first.
Why now
This ranch exists to support Gold Star families and charities for America's fallen heroes. Every stay funds that. Doing the work now means the cabins we hand back to you are worth what you spend here, and every dollar keeps going where it's supposed to go.
Thank you. For backing veterans' causes, for showing up for this community, and for being patient while we make the place better.
25% off
your first stay
Get on the ranch list, or send us a message through the contact page. Either one puts your name down. When the cabins reopen, a quarter comes off your first stay. One night or two weeks, it doesn't matter.
One discount per household, good for your first stay, redeemable within 12 months of the day we reopen. Mention it when you book and we'll apply it to your confirmed rate.
Three ways to stay close while we rebuild.

100%
Goes to Charity
Every cabin booking directly supports Gold Star families and veteran charities.
This Isn't a Memorial.
It's a Celebration.
Warriors Don't Retreat exists because one man — Jonathan Palmer McDonald, a Green Beret medic, defender of embassies, and devoted father — lived a life so full of adventure, courage, and love for the outdoors that the only right response was to build something that keeps that spirit going.
This is a place where your kids catch their first fish. Where you watch the sunset from a porch swing with someone you love. Where the dogs run free and the longhorns graze close enough to wave at. It's about strong families and real connection. Nothing more complicated than that.
The fact that every dollar you spend here goes to support Gold Star families and veteran charities? That's the cherry on top. You're already making memories — you're just also making a difference.
Your Cabin Awaits
Four handcrafted cabins, each with its own personality. All with the same mission of giving your family an escape worth remembering while supporting those who gave everything.
The ranch isn't taking stays right now
The Longhorn, the Angler, and the Pecan are being fully renovated. The Bluebonnet isn't, but the grounds around it are a construction site, so it's off the calendar too. Figure on at least 60 days before anyone stays here again. We won't promise dates we can't keep.
The rates below are what a night costs today, with your 25% already taken off so you can see where you land. Rates can move by the time we reopen, and your discount comes off whatever the confirmed rate is then.

Great Adventure
You came here to give your family a weekend they'll talk about for years. That you're also helping a Gold Star family while you do it? That part takes care of itself. No accounts, no fees, no algorithms. The ranch is closed while we renovate, so put your name on the cabin you want and we'll come to you the moment it's ready.
